Yes! They will also conduct a session for transgender women/trans-feminine people in the future.

This session will be conducted in person at Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles, California. So,.. plan accordingly.

 

Schedule of events

  • Sunday, November 12, 2023: Open to medical students and residents.

  • Tuesday, November 14, 2023: Open to U.S. Military healthcare providers and staff.

  • Wednesday, November 15, 2023: Open to SMSNA Fall Scientific Meeting (Nov. 16-18) attendees.

     

This course is offered by the Cedars-Sinai Transgender Surgery and Health Program in collaboration with the Sexual Medicine Society of North America (SMSNA), with additional promotional support from the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH).

Who is Dr. Maurice Garcia?!

​

Dr. Garcia is one of our early founding members. He has been actively engaged from the very start of our organizations. He is a highly valued member of our team and he continues to support our community of  Veterans and their families through his work as our Chief Medical Strategist. Besides working with TDVA and TDVA Action Group, he is a world renowned speaker, thought leader, and evidence-based innovator, surgeon, and healthcare provider for our community. He supports our transgender, gender-diverse, and nonbinary citizens, veterans, and military personnel through his active engagement with multiple professional organizations.

As our Chief Medical Strategist, Dr. Garcia contributes to our knowledge and learning base, offers training programs to our population as well as to our providers in and out of the Veterans Affairs system and Department of Defense.

Dr. Garcia is also the Director of the Cedars-Sinai Transgender Surgery and Health Program at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles California.
